The Inter Dominion is a harness racing competition that has been contested since 1936 in Australia and New Zealand. The series will be conducted at Tabcorp Park Menangle for the next three years – 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The carnival will start on Saturday 16 February with five Inter Dominion qualifying heats being held throughout Australasia over a 90 minute period including two heats at Tabcorp Park Menangle.

The action returns to Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday 23 February for the Allied Express Pink Bonnet and Rod Fitzpatrick Memorial along with a host of qualifying heats for Group One races.

The TAB.COM.AU Inter Dominion Grand Final will be held at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Sunday afternoon 3rd March. The ten race program will feature seven Group One races including the Form 700 Chariots of Fire and NSW Oaks, the Cordina Chicken Farms Ladyship Mile, the Camarda & Cantrill NSW Derby, the Bohemia FFA and the Chambers Challenge Trotting event.

Wide World of Sports to Cover TAB.COM.AU Inter Dominion

Australia’s leading broadcaster Channel Nine will telecast the Inter Dominion Grand Final nationwide live next year.

The presentation of harness racing’s pinnacle event on Sunday 3rd March 2013 will carry the badge of sport’s highest rating television show the Wide World of Sports.

In what is a coup for the Inter Dominion joint hosts, the NSW Harness Racing Club and Harness Racing NSW, the Grand Final will be shown live at 3.40pm.The Form 700 Chariots of Fire will commence the hour long telecast at 3pm. more...
